YZF600R Streetfighter

The newest creation to roar from the StreetKORE garage. Just finished this bike for a customer as she jumped head first into the fighter scene and is loving every bit of it.

  1. This thing looks sick! That tail looks really good on there. I have a black '07 that was dumped. I'm in the process of making it a "fighter" but having a hard time deciding which light to use. How is this headlight at night?

  2. Thanks for the comment bud. The light is useless on dark roads. It's only 35 watts and has a funky tint to it. It's about to be upgraded to twin 55 watts very soon. See if it works any better.

    1. Nice. Keep the updates coming. I'm curious to know the results. Also, I see you replaced the factory gauge cluster. What did you replace it with and how do you like it? Keep up the good work...

    2. Gauge is a Trail Tech Vaypor. They work awesome. Have used them on a number of different bikes in the past. 4's, Twins, singles. Air and water cooled. They are very universal and accurate.

    3. How did you splice it? To connect to the OEM YZF600r speedometer plug in. Also, where's your ignition?

    4. The speedo is stand alone. It comes with all it's own hook up that need to be put into the bike. This uses a Hall effect magnet and sensor down at the wheel. The ignition is hidden in the frame.

    5. Ohhh... Okay, that makes sense now. Thanks a lot, I'll probably get the same thing then. What about stuff like turn signals, neutral, oil, etc?

    1. also have same headlight where did you get your clamps?

  4. Mark,

The tail section is from an R1 style pocket bike with an integrated R6 tail light and hand made undertail. The subframe was all custom made to accept the tail and seat. All the electrics have been slimmed down and relocated behind the engine. As for the headlight clamps, they are stainless hose clamps for turbo plumbing with custom brackets.

    1. you route the carb overflow/airbox balance pipe into the underside front of the airbox instead of out the front of the frame.
